Project Manager
Seals Construction is currently seeking a Project Manager with experience on large commercial projects of $5 million+. This individual will work closely with the Superintendent, provide leadership to the project staff, and ensure quality and timely completion of the project.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and prepare project budgets
- Assist Estimator with the bid process
- Serve as the primary point of contact with the client
- Develop, schedule, and lead project close-out processes
- Develop construction schedule and analyze timeline to ensure on-time project delivery
- Facilitate and oversee completion of project punch-lists
- Chair project meetings and ensure meeting minutes properly reflect issues and accountabilities
- Work closely with the Superintendent and project team in maintaining and enforcing project site safety programs
- Prepare comprehensive subcontractor and supplier scopes of work
- Oversee project costs and prepare Job Cost Report
- Monitor project progress with Superintendent. Work with Superintendent as necessary to make schedule adjustments to ensure project is completed on time
*Ensure all administrative systems are properly set up, implemented, supervised and maintained
*Take a leadership role in resolving project claims and disputes
*Create and maintain a positive work environment at the project job site
Qualifications
- Knowledge of construction principles/practices required
- Experience leading a successful project team
- Knowledge and understanding of construction delivery systems, the construction administration processes, technical aspects of construction including means and methods, materials, building systems, planning, scheduling and estimating
- Experience dealing with trade subcontractors
- Well developed time management and organization skills
- Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred but not required
- 4+ years of experience working on large commercial projects of $5 million and higher
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering
- LEED accreditation
- Prior OSHPD project experience
- Prior DSA project experience
