The McClarty Center for Fine and Performing Arts on Reedley College’s campus has become a reality after decades of planning and fundraising by local advocates. The CFPA venue will be used for educational programs, live productions, and campus and community events, serving local artists and the greater Reedley area. As patrons enter the spacious lobby adorning images depicting the Central Valley’s rich agricultural history, they are greeted by an area complete with a concession stand, box office, multiple video screens and seating areas, making this space ideal for pre-performance receptions.
The River Art Gallery, located inside the McClarty Center, offers Reedley College art students, instructors and community artists the opportunity to display their original art pieces and host exhibitions. The spacious room is equipped with specifically designed lighting to showcase every unique piece.
The green room offers performers and special guests an opportunity to relax before and after events. The room features ample seating spaces, video screens, two dressing rooms, and food area. In addition, Reedley College will have access to host small meetings in this inviting space.
As patrons enter the stunning auditorium, they will notice the beautiful maple woodwork surrounding the 525-seat theater. Custom reinforced wall panels line the sides of the theater offering superior sound throughout the area. An innovative theatrical sound system nestled amongst the wood grille acoustic ceiling was designed to provide flexibility in acoustic and presentation sound ranging from Gothic to Cathedral. This stunning venue will undoubtedly attract talent from near and far, providing entertainment for the community.
