VA Central California Community Living Center

A place Veterans can call home

The expansion of the VA Central California Community Living Center provides additional new single occupancy private rooms with adjoining private bathrooms. The innovative design offers a sense of independence while helping to create a resemblance to “home”. Veterans can receive nursing home level care, including help with daily activities, skilled nursing and medical care within the confines of a private room. In addition, a large communal space with a centralized kitchen encourages socialization, while smaller conversation spaces allow for intimate visits with family and friends. Phase One consisted of two wings, each accommodating six single occupancy private rooms. An outdoor covered walkway connects the new residence to the existing CLC.

The small house model provides rehabilitative, chronic disease management and hospice care for Veterans.
