A complete modernization of the science building on the Divisadero Middle School campus consisted of two parts, seamlessly integrated into one construction process. Five standard classrooms were converted into state-of-the-art science labs receiving polished concrete floors and upgraded ceiling and wall finishes. Exterior doors and windows were replaced, giving the buildings a fresh new look. To stay compliant with current ADA regulations, restrooms and sidewalks throughout campus underwent renovations. Seismic upgrades to the overall building, as well as electrical and fire sprinkler upgrades, were completed. In addition, the project was also comprised of improvements to an existing computer room and art studio.
