Established in 1929 at the request of the local bishop, the Sisters of the Holy Cross began their missionary work by opening Saint Agnes Hospital in Fresno. Saint Agnes became the first Fresno hospital to be accredited by the American College of Surgeons and went on to be the first hospital in Fresno to introduce balloon angioplasty, develop a cardiac rehabilitation program, perform minimally invasive cardiac surgery, use interventional neuroradiology, introduce PET scan technology to the Valley, use neuro navigation in brain surgery, use IMRT radiation therapy for cancer treatment, and use robotic surgery in a cardiac bypass operation. With their background rooted in values and advancement for the community, Saint Agnes is continually expanding their programs and upgrading their facility to meet the growing healthcare needs of Valley residents.
Since our first project at Saint Agnes Medical Center in 1993, we have been committed to delivering the highest quality work and working cohesively and collaboratively with all members of the Saint Agnes team. Over the years we have worked closely with Saint Agnes to plan, design and build facilities that leverage technology to deliver the best healthcare, improve patient safety and increase overall efficiency.
Over the course of the past twenty-four years, we have developed a strong working relationship with the staff and the trade subcontractors and vendors servicing Saint Agnes. We have a deep understanding of their mission of “healing body, mind and spirit” and have made it our goal to carry out projects in a manner so as not to disrupt the patients, families, and staff at the hospital.
The projects we have completed for Saint Agnes vary in complexity, scope, duration, square footage, and contract value, but all of them are approached with the client’s end goal and expectations in mind. Our experience has afforded us expertise in working within occupied spaces and demanding environments - our team coordinates and carries out projects at Saint Agnes so that the facility is fully operational at all times during the construction process.
“Healthcare construction can be complex and difficult in nature. No matter what the conditions represent, the work is performed as quickly as possible with a high level of quality added to each project.”RUDY NEGRETE
